| PUCKOON STARS ELLIOTT GOULD AND RICHARD ATTENBOROUGH TEAM UP WITH FUTURE FILM GROUP |
| 26 February 2001 Future Film Group has brought in its expertise to help PUCKOON come to the screen. Future Film Group Managing Director Stephen Margolis (Executive Producer of WAKING NED DEVINE, LEON THE PIG FARMER, STIFF UPPER LIPS and BRYLCREEM BOYS) is Co-Executive Producer of PUCKOON - a co-production between British-based Y2K Productions and German-based MBP. The film stars Elliott Gould (MASH), Richard Attenborough (JURASSIC PARK), Sean Hughes (THE COMMITMENTS), John Lynch (SLIDING DOORS) and David Kelly (WAKING NED DIVINE). PUCKOON is an uproarious black comedy based on Spike Milligan's first novel - which sold 6 million copies - about the sleepy village called Puckoon, a town on the line between Northern and Southern Ireland in 1924. PUCKOON is being sold at AFM by Beyond Films. Margolis says, 'PUCKOON is another example of what Future Film Group is doing for the UK film industry - helping British films get made'. |
